Quick, easy, and delicious Sugar Cookies in less than 30 minutes! No Chilling Required!
  • 2¾ cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, Softened
  • 1½ cups Sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cup Sprinkles
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with a silicone mat or parchment paper. Set aside until needed. Place the sprinkles in a bowl and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla and mix well.
  4. Scrape down the bowl and, with the mixture on low speed, slowly add the flour mixture. Beat the mixture until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
  5. Using a tablespoon or a cookie scoop, scoop a large ball of dough. Roll the dough into a ball and then slightly flatten the ball to create a thick disk shape. Dip one side of the dough into the sprinkles and then place on the prepared baking sheet, sprinkles side up. Repeat with the remaining dough, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake the cookies in the oven until they have just set, about 8-10 minutes. If they start to turn light golden brown on the edges, they are done (they don’t always have to turn a brown color.) Do not over-bake the cookies; you want them to be soft and chewy.
  7. Once the cookies are done baking, let them sit on the baking sheet for 2 minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
