Rose Macarons

Happy [early] Mothers Day!
To my mom, and all the mothers – this is for you!
What are you getting your mom for Mothers Day?  Breakfast in bed? Chocolates?  Flowers?  I’m giving my mom roses.  We’ll not actual roses…. Rose Macarons!  What’s a better gift than a dessert filled with the floral scent of roses?  Ummmmmm… I can’t think of anything 🙂.
Macarons are such a delicate, pretty dessert.  They are so fancy and petite – perfect to have for Mothers Day!  With their delicate and beautiful nature, adding a rose scent to these desserts adds the perfect touch.  I added a touch of Rosewater to the buttercream filling, which created an amazing aroma and taste to the macarons.
Although Macarons may seem intimidating, I urge you to go in the kitchen and try them out!  After a couple tries, I promise you that you will get the hang of it and produce the perfect macaron.  And what constitutes the perfect macaron?  A light and soft shell, with the perfect crunch after biting into them.  Then adding a creamy and flavorful filling makes the macaron complete.  Yum!

    Yes, letting the macarons sit out for at least 30 minutes is key. This allows them to rise properly. Good luck 🙂

    Hi my sweet wonderful daughter, thank you so much for the macarons,you are a sweetheart! they were always delicious, but having one right now would make it even better 🙂 yummm, they also look so pretty.
    I thank God everyday for giving me two wonderful daughters, I am blessed. I love you lots!

    Looks so goos! Do you use rosewater, or rosewater extract?
